About Vani Tarot Reader and English Teacher

I am a Tarot and Oracle card reader and budding astrologer. I am also a Creative Writing and English teacher with seven years of experience teaching at the college level. I have two poems published in The Rectangle (a Sigma Tau Delta publication). I am also published in the book Shaman Pathways: Deathwalking for an essay on Hindu Final Rites and in the book Dark Goddess Craft, for a piece on Kali under the pseudonym Ivy Neel. I'm currently working on a sci-fi fiction novel and a book on goddess Kali.

My foray into the metaphysical began at an early age. I have always felt a deep connection to the galaxies and the universe and was drawn to the mystical from the very beginning. I connect and receive messages in a variety of ways, including through visions and song. I believe my strongest clair to be claircognizance and clairsentience. Some have nicknamed me Counselor Troi because I love Star Trek so much and identify with that character best! Because of my empathic strengths, I knew I was meant to do something healing in addition to my artistic endeavors. I was led to the Tarot after receiving my first deck in high school when I had just turned sixteen. Over the years, I have done many Tarot readings and finally decided to incorporate storytelling through the Tarot and workshops for a more creative experience.

My esoteric interests include psychic mediumship, shamanic studies, folk magick and medicine, Yoga, Ayurveda, Reiki, Tantra, true sidereal astrology, galactic astrology, and Jyotish (Vedic Astrology). I am also a geek with a deep love for comic books, anime, manga, space science, sci-fi shows, and martial arts. 

I am also a writer, artist, a voice actor, and singer. I am currently working on fiction pieces, illustration, and songs. I strive to find balance in all areas of my life and live holistically!
